Janet Andrews is the GRASP advisor at Douglas Freeman High School.
Prior to becoming a GRASP advisor, Janet worked part-time in the GRASP office, coordinating various outreach programs and administering scholarships. Prior to that, she volunteered for GRASP and other community organizations. She advocated for students and families for 25 years as a PTA board member and school volunteer while raising her children, and has had a heart for those in the college process since shepherding her own children through college, scholarship, and FAFSA applications. She graduated from Salem College with a bachelor's degree in English. She is an avid reader of good fiction and college guide books, and enjoys walking, swimming and hiking.
