Kathy Davis is the GRASP advisor at Midlothian High School.
Kathy earned her B.A. in English and M.B.A. at Vanderbilt University. She worked for 20 years in hospital management and consulting before going back to school to earn an M.F.A. in creative writing from Virginia Commonwealth University. As adjunct faculty at VCU, she taught writing and rhetoric and business writing classes, and she especially enjoyed working with incoming freshmen. In addition to being a GRASP advisor, Kathy works as a freelance writer and editor. One of her sons is a graduate of Reed College in Portland, Oregon and the other graduated from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fl. She remembers the college application process as an exciting time and is enthusiastic about helping other students realize their goals for continuing their education.
