Howard enjoys working with kids of all ages. He recently retired from New Kent County Schools where he spent the past 35 years as a school counselor. Howard holds both bachelor's and master’s degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University. Howard has been working with GRASP and its advisors for many years through New Kent High School. In addition, he has worked with the State Council of Higher Education actively promoting Super Saturday Financial Aid Programs. Howard also coordinated a Big/Little Reading Program in conjunction with New Kent Elementary School, which paired students at New Kent High School with elementary school students to help build reading skills and a love of learning. In addition, Howard serves as a GED examiner for the City of Richmond and is an Assessment Specialist with the Middle Peninsulas Adult Education Program.
