Charlene Herrala

Charlene Herrala is the GRASP Advisor for Windsor High School - windsor@grasp4va.org

Charlene graduated from JMU in 1982 with a special education degree and received a master’s degree in Learning Disabilities from ODU in 1994. She worked with special needs students at Smithfield High School for five years, and then went back to her Alma Mater, Windsor High School, where she worked in various areas of special education for 30 years.  Since retirement she has been a substitute teacher, which allows her to continue to be involved with students.  In Charlene’s spare time, she loves to jog, exercise, work in her yard, and play the piano. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two adult children. Charlene is excited to be Windsor's first GRASP Advisor, giving her another chance to make a difference in the lives of students!
