Clare Tilton 

Clare Tilton is the GRASP Advisor for:

Clare is excited to join GRASP, having taught in Chesterfield County Public Schools for 32 years. She served the last seventeen as the Coordinator for the Center for the Humanities at Monacan High School. Since retiring, Clare has continued volunteering with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, most often as a docent/tour guide. She serves as a volunteer and board member with the Visual Arts Center as well as other community organizations.

Clare earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Virginia (B.A. Psychology) and Virginia Commonwealth University (B.S. History Education). She has her M.A. in History from the University of Richmond. Clare and her husband, David, live in Richmond. Their son is a recent George Mason University graduate. Clare enjoys travel, reading, art, ballet, and movies. Helping students and families achieve educational goals and dreams remains an all-time passion and joy for Clare.
