Barbara Hassett

Barbara Hassett is the GRASP Advisor for:

Barbara graduated from VCU/MCV with a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management. She worked for HCA for 13 years in Human Resources/ Recruitment and then retired to stay home with her two girls. Becoming an active volunteer in the school and PTA led to her becoming a substitute school teacher.  For the past 14 years she has been a substitute teacher in the Richmond Public School System.  

Recently, she completed the college application process with her daughter, who now attends JMU. She is eager to share her knowledge of the college application and financial aid process with students. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, swimming and spending time with her family.
