SOAR Scholars®
SOAR Scholars, a part of SOAR Virginia, is an Early Commitment Scholarship Program for students interested in continuing their education beyond high school. Through individual advising, assistance with financial aid applications, and scholarship support of up to $2,000, scholars reach higher, aspire for better futures, and make their dreams take flight.
You may be eligible to be a part of the SOAR Scholars program. SOAR Scholars is sponsored by Commonwealth Savers and brought to you by GRASP.
To participate, eligible students pledge to meet program requirements. In return, students receive a range of assistance and may accumulate scholarship support of up to $2,000 to apply toward their post-secondary education expenses.
In the 2023-2024 school year, over 1,600 students participated in GRASP's implementation of the SOAR Scholars program. In the past, 99% of those who enroll in the program have gone on to graduate from high school (this percentage excludes those who move or leave to be home-schooled).
Over $1,000,000 in scholarships were awarded to participants in GRASP schools during the 2023-2024 school year.

If you will be a sophomore in the 2024-2025 academic year in a participating school (see list below), you may be eligible to begin the program in the fall of 2024. For questions about this program, please contact your School Counselor or GRASP Advisor, or email advising@grasp4va.org.
