Daphne Rankin

Daphne Rankin is the GRASP adviser at Thomas Dale High School - thomasdale@grasp4va.org

An innovative and enthusiastic educator, administrator, and communicator, Daphne has extensive experience in student transition, retention, and success. As the Associate Vice President for Special Programs at Virginia Commonwealth University, her leadership responsibilities in student success included first-generation programming, curriculum development, parent and family programs, summer studies, and enrollment management initiatives.

She earned her BA in Education from UNC-Greensboro and her MS and PhD from VCU. Daphne enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and exercising. She recently retired from VCU and is looking forward to working with students and their families as they navigate the college application and financial aid process.
