Dedra Hampton
Dedra Hampton is the GRASP Advisor for Caroline County High School - caroline@grasp4va.org
Dedra earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Norfolk State University and a Masters degree in Education Administration from Strayer University. She retired from Hanover County Public Schools in 2021.
Her experiences include building programs from the ground up through proven competencies in grant writing and administration, project and program management, and staff development and empowerment. Dedra’s career consisted as an Administrator and Educator at the primary, secondary and higher education levels. Also, she served as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid in higher education.
She has an extensive background of implementing special programs for at-risk and special needs students in diverse populations. She is the Director Emeritus of the Virginia Higher Education Fund.
Dedra enjoys traveling, volunteering as a Girl Scout Troop leader, and working with young adults. She is very excited to assist students navigate post-secondary education with GRASP.
