Gwendolyn “Gwen” Davis was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY moving to Amityville, NY in the 10 th grade. She graduated from Amityville High School and then received her BS in Business Administration from State University of New York at Plattsburgh SUNY). Relocating to Richmond, VA she received her Master of Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

Gwen began her financial services career as a Bank Teller and through her focus on leadership and development of high performing teams, she retired after almost 38 years as an Executive Director for a major financial institution. Through various non-profit and volunteer organizational support opportunities, Gwen has worked with families and students providing financial literacy awareness, budgeting and goal setting.

The GRASP Advisor role allows Gwen the opportunity to utilize her ability to connect with others, excellent communication skills and financial services knowledge to support students and their parents as they navigate their pathway to successfully complete the FAFSA and gain access to other scholarship opportunities.
