Heather Jenkins

Heather Jenkins is the GRASP Advisor for Lancaster High School - lancaster@grasp4va.org

Heather Jenkins is joining GRASP in the fall of 2021. She moved to the Lancaster area full time in April 2021 and started at the Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Neck in Kilmarnock in May 2021. Her role there is Summer Brain Gain Coordinator, where the focus is school loss prevention.

Heather graduated from Hermitage High School in Richmond, VA and has a BS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Mass Communications/Public Relations. She worked in Henrico County Public Schools in the Exceptional Education program at Quiocassin Middle School for 9 years. She has worked in several volunteer capacities throughout Richmond: as a facilitator at the Side by Side youth center, as a teacher and mission leader for River Road Presbyterian Church, and as a girl scout leader for 13 years leading a group from Kindergarten through Seniors in High School. She has helped cook meals for the Side by Side youth and CARITAS organizations. She is looking forward to being equally active in her new home of Lancaster.
