Jeanne Hodges is the GRASP Advisor for:

Cumberland High School - cumberland@grasp4va.org

Jeanne graduated summa cum laude from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She grew up in Southwest Virginia & North Carolina. There she worked for BB&T/Truist and Bank of America as a financial adviser for 15 years as well as a Legal Office Manager for private attorneys for 5 years. In addition, she served as a Substitute Teacher in the area and spent time volunteering with the United Way. Most recently she served as an Advocate for children, women and the underserved populations in Domestic Violence and Homeless shelters. While there she enjoyed teaching Financial Literacy classes to adults.

She recently relocated to Farmville, VA with her son, who is a Senior at Longwood University studying history and education. Over the years she has assisted a number of young adults with completing the college application process that is why she is so excited to be with GRASP to continue helping kids further their “next steps in life”.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to book club and attending college and professional football games.
