Kathy Carter

Kathy Carter is the GRASP Advisor for Martinsville High School - martinsville@grasp4va.org

Kathy earned her B.S. in Intermediate Education from Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She pursued additional studies at Averett University. Kathy retired from a 34-year career as a middle school math teacher.  She also taught a GED class for high school students for five years and loved serving with AmeriCorps for two years.

Kathy and her husband have been married for 41 years, and they have two adult children who are college graduates and three grandsons in elementary school.

She is excited about the opportunity to assist students with continuing their education beyond high school.
