Mary Kay McCrea

Mary Kay McCrea is the GRASP Advisor for Amherst County High School - amherst@grasp4va.org

Mary Kay retired in July 2021 after nearly 32 years as a secondary school counselor and six additional years as a career counselor at the college level. Most recently the lead counselor at Amherst County High School, she looks forward to continuing to work with a great group of students and a terrific counseling staff! Mary Kay earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University and her M.Ed. from Lynchburg College (now the University of Lynchburg). She loves spending time with her husband, two daughters and sons-in-law, and adorable four-year-old grandson. Mary Kay enjoys music, reading, walking, biking, sewing, gardening, flower arranging, DIY home projects of all types, and college sports. She’s a loyal Wake Forest Demon Deacon fan!
