How did GRASP help you?
GRASP was extremely helpful with applying to colleges. Mrs. Layne was our GRASP advisor, and she worked with me to fill out my financial aid and help find a school that would fit my career goals and personality.
What are you doing now?
I am currently in graduate school at Longwood University to get a masters in Counselor Education to eventually become a school counselor. I am also working as a Graduate Community Coordinator at Longwood University.
What advice would you give to high school students?
One piece of educational advice I would give high school students is that it is okay to not have a clear career path. You are young, and you have the rest of your life to figure out what makes you happy.
Did you face any challenges on your educational journey?
My biggest challenge was comparing my journey to my peers and not using the resources my school provided. Your journey is yours, so roll with the punches, and use your resources available at your school to succeed.
